- Here are the necessary files to translate Convertor in a new language.
- If you want to translate Convertor in your language (or another),
- Create a new file <language>.ct and send it to me.
- If you send a new catalog translation to me, I will send you the catalog as soon
- as possible, put it on Aminet and send you the Convertor keyfile (So you can register
- sending me either a gift or a new translation)
- You may put your name in the About message (something like «translation by <Your Name>»).
- If there is an item you don't understand, PLEASE mail me and ask me!
-
- If you use CatEdit to translate the catalogs, please generate a .ct file and also send
- it to me. Also read the convertor.cd file even if you don't use it, I've put several
- comments in it, explaining how Convertor uses the strings.
-
- If you find a mistake in one of the included catalogs, please correct it and send me the
- ct file and send it to me. (this does not worth a registration, though)
-
- Note: Several strings have a line feed (\n) at the end. Please also put it when you write
- a new translation!
-
- Note well:
- The convertor.cd file is the catalog description, which defines the default (English) strings
- and identifiers. You must send me .ct files! look at the included languages to see how a .ct
- file is formatted.
-
- Special chars:
- You sometimes have the "_" character in a label. This means that the following letter will
- be underlined and will be a shortcut. So you do not need to have this char at the same
- place than in the original character. However it is necessary to have exactely one "_" in
- each label that had one in the original char and you mustn't have twice the same letter
- underlined in a set of labels. (Each label is separated by "|")
-
- The star (*) is sometimes put at the beginning of a label. It means that this label will be
- the default one. So please also put it when you write a new catalog.
